MEX Killers – Secure Your Entry Points Against Vehicle Threats

Heavy-duty tyre killer systems designed to stop unauthorized vehicles and enhance perimeter security.

A vehicle approaching a restricted entrance is not always an authorized visitor. When forced entry becomes a security concern, traditional gates and barriers may not provide enough protection. You need a solution that can instantly control vehicle movement and prevent unauthorized access before it reaches your facility.

MEX Killers use heavy-duty steel spikes to immobilize unauthorized vehicles and strengthen perimeter security. Designed for industrial facilities, airports, military zones, warehouses, government buildings, and restricted areas, they provide dependable vehicle access control with surface, portable, and hydraulic configurations.

Key Features:

  • Instant Vehicle Immobilization: Quickly restricts unauthorized vehicle movement using high-strength steel spikes.
  • Heavy-Duty Construction: Built for demanding security environments with long-term durability.
  • High Load Capacity: Supports vehicles up to 20 tons with spike height options of 76–100 mm.
  • Flexible Models: Available in surface-mounted, portable, and hydraulic configurations.
  • Low Maintenance Design: Ensures reliable performance with minimal servicing requirements.

How They Work?

MEX Killers give you instant control over vehicle access points by responding quickly to authorized and unauthorized movement. The system can be activated manually or through RFID, biometric systems, remote controls, or ANPR solutions. Once triggered, the heavy-duty spikes rise to create an immediate physical barrier. When an unauthorized vehicle attempts entry, the hardened steel spikes damage the tyres and restrict further movement, helping prevent forced access. After authorization, the spikes retract smoothly, allowing safe vehicle passage and resetting the system for the next operation.

Surface Mount Tyre Killers

When excavation or major civil work is not practical, surface mount Tyre killers provide an effective vehicle access control solution. Designed for quick installation directly on existing road surfaces, they eliminate the need for deep foundations or complex site preparation. Their heavy-duty steel structure with raised spike design helps prevent unauthorized vehicle entry while maintaining controlled movement. Available with ramped profiles, they are ideal for industrial sites, temporary checkpoints, and restricted access areas.

Portable Operated Tyre Killers

For locations requiring flexibility and easy deployment, portable Tyre killers offer a practical security solution without permanent installation. Designed with a spring-free mechanical system, they require minimal maintenance and provide reliable operation in different environments. The spikes remain raised by default to stop unauthorized vehicle movement and can be manually lowered when authorized access is required. Their lightweight yet durable construction makes them suitable for temporary security checkpoints and mobile access control applications.

Fixed Tyre Killers

Designed for permanent high-security applications, fixed tyre killers use an electrically controlled mechanism to provide fast and reliable vehicle restriction. Powered by a hydraulic or motorized drive unit, they can quickly raise and lower the spike system, typically within a three seconds. These systems can stop high-speed unauthorized vehicles and integrate with access control technologies such as RFID, ANPR, sensors, and security management platforms for automated operation and enhanced perimeter protection.

Simple Operation, Reliable Performance

MEX Killers are designed for easy operation with two working modes: Armed and Unarmed. In Armed mode, the spikes remain raised to prevent unauthorized vehicle movement from the restricted direction. When Unarmed mode is selected, the spikes lower completely, allowing vehicles to safely pass in both directions.

Switching between modes is simple through the manual control lever installed on the side box. For smooth performance, you should regularly check that the spikes move freely without any blockage. Removing dust, stones, or other debris from the mechanism helps maintain reliable operation.

If a spike becomes slightly bent or displaced due to incorrect vehicle approach, it should be carefully restored to its original position to ensure smooth movement and continued protection.
